Our story
Hi, I'm Michael.
I've spent about 18 years in IT. I started as a network analyst at Alberta Health Services, where I led the replacement of the Nortel network with Cisco across the Palliser region. After that I was a technical lead at ChinookIT and a senior systems engineer at TLD Computers.
In 2022 I started Stratecs to bring the engineering I'd been doing for large organizations to local businesses. Today the work ranges from looking after office computers and security to designing multi-tower wireless networks.
I hold a Bachelor of Applied Information Systems Technology (Network Management) from NAIT and a Computer Engineering Technology diploma from SAIT, both with honours. I'm also a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and I hold Ubiquiti certifications in routing and switching and in airMAX point-to-point and point-to-multipoint wireless, a Microsoft Azure certification, and several Cisco Meraki certifications.
